If you have Fluorescent Tubes operating as the main source of light in your building the light levels may be well below the intended ones and could even be below those specified in the Health and Safety Legislation. For example; if you have a 4-tube fitting with a tube already blown and the other 3 getting on in age, the actual light output from that fitting could be less then 50% of the intended level. This is both unsafe and in contravention of the Regulations.
